J.W. Peters Announces Midwest Introduction of first 15-Foot Wide Double Tees

J.W. Peters is proud to introduce the first 15-foot-wide precast concrete double tees into the Midwest.  The 15 foot wide double tee is an exciting product evolution that will add remarkable value to precast concrete parking garages and other projects, according to J.W. Peters’ President, John Nanna. “We’ve led the region in introducing increasingly wider double tees to the marketplace,” Nanna explains. “We were the first to produce the 10-foot and 12-foot, and we are now producing the first 15-foot units.” The larger tee affords considerable advantages. Most significant is that projects can be produced faster because fewer pieces are involved. Nanna anticipates a reduction of about 30 percent in the time required from the awarding of a job through delivery. Also, about a third less time is required in the field. “Further economic benefits are realized because fewer pieces need transported and erected,” Nanna adds. Similarly, there are fewer double tee joints to caulk in the field and maintain over time.  Also, with fewer stems, a garage built with 15-foot tees permits more lightto penetrate the building, which also increases the visibility of signage.
